The fellowship is sponsored primarily by the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR). VCU has a well-established, integrated network of clinical research programs serving persons with traumatic brain injury and other neurological disorders. Neurobehavioral recovery and rehabilitation will be the training focus. We are seeking applicants who wish to specialize in rehabilitation psychology, family and marital therapy, and related areas. Training will be provided in a variety of areas including: neurobehavioral intervention; psychotherapy with individuals, families, and groups; and clinical research methods and design. The program offers supervision by outstanding mentors, didactic experiences, and independent and collaborative research activities. Stipend is commensurate with NIH guidelines for postdoctoral fellows. Funds are provided for course tuition, conference travel, and health insurance.
