Fall 2017 NCRE/RSA/CSAVR National Rehabilitation Education Conference Overview

The National Rehabilitation Education Conference is a means of facilitating communication and sharing information among professionals involved in training, recruiting, hiring and enhancing the development of qualified rehabilitation counselors. National Council on Rehabilitation Education (NCRE), Council of State Administrators of Vocational Rehabilitation (CSAVR) and Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA).

Conference Agenda

  • Thursday, October 26, 2017 is the Pre Conference Day starting at 9:00AM and ending at 6:30PM.
  • Friday, October 27, 2017 is the first day of the conference starting at 8:15AM and ending at 7:15PM.
  • Saturday, October 28, 2017 is the last day of the conference starting at 8:30AM and ending at 1:00PM.

Registration Membership and Reduced Registration

The Fall 2017 conference begins with the July 1, 2017 – July 1, 2018 membership year. Therefore, in order to receive a reduced rate for this conference you have to renew or become a member of the July 1, 2017 – July 1, 2018 membership year.

Airport is 0.9 miles SW of conference hotel.

Hotel Transportation Options

  • Super Shuttle – $15 USD (one way); reservation required

Complimentary Airport Shuttle Service

Shuttle Name: Marriott Crystal Gateway (South Loop)

Because the shuttle is a complementary service, unfortunately there are no reservations for pickup at the airport. The shuttle runs on a continuous loop to and from the airport starting at 5:00AM and ending at 12:00AM.

From the conference hotel, the shuttle’s schedule is as follows:

5:00AM – 6:00AM, the shuttle departs every 30 minutes (5:00AM, 5:30AM 6:00AM etc.).

6:00AM- 12:00AM, the shuttle departs from the hotel every 20 minutes (6:20AM, 6:40AM, 7:00AM, 7:20AM, etc.)

Continuing Education Units

Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) will be available Thursday, October 26, 2017 – Saturday, October 28 2017 for the following: Pre-Conference Workshops, General, and Concurrent Sessions and Poster Presentations conducted during the conference. CEU’s for ethics and general credits will be available to all CRC holders. The CRCC forms will be available onsite at the registration desk and will include more detailed information needed to obtain CEU’s.
