Assistant/Associate Professor Positions in Rehabilitation Counseling, Tenure Track

The Department of Rehabilitation and Disability Studies offers an undergraduate degree program in Rehabilitation Services and a graduate degree program in Rehabilitation Counseling (on campus and online). The graduate program accredited by CACREP offers a 48-hour curriculum with specialization in Assistive Technology (AT) and/or Vocational Evaluation and Work Adjustment (VEWA); and a 60-hour curriculum with specialization in Psychiatric Rehabilitation (PR). Currently, the department has three Long Term Training and one VR Technical Assistant Center for Targeted Communities (VRTAC-TC) Projects from the Rehabilitation Services Administration (RSA); and two Field Initiated Research Projects from the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR).
Position: Tenure Track Assistant/Associate Professor
Deadline: November 30, 2017 or until filled
Job Responsibilities: Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses on campus and online, supervise field experience and intern students, supervise student research, advise students, write grant proposals, secure external funding, and engage in scholarly research and publications.
Ph.D. in Rehabilitation, CRC, experience in teaching on campus and online courses, experience in providing vocational rehabilitation services to consumers with disabilities, and proficiency in conducting research in rehabilitation. For the position of Associate Professor, applicants must have been an Associate Professor (tenured or tenure track) in one of his/her previous positions.
LPC, expertise in substance abuse, mental health counseling, psychiatric rehabilitation, assistive technology, or vocational evaluation and work adjustment.
